Hi Kindred Spirits, I am Neon. One of my earliest childhood memories is about me being a young girl playing in the mud with other children in a cultural village in Namibia, refusing to wear clothes because I wanted to look and dress like them, and the time me and my younger brother got chased by an elephant in the Kaokoveld.

Growing Up In Africa

I have had the privilege of growing up in a family who loves off the beaten track adventures, who wants to explore other cultures and who appreciates nature deeply. With these things being rooted in me since a young age, I have grown up to be a young woman with a hunger to experience life to the fullest extent.

I have volunteered, worked and travelled all over Africa – sometimes alone, sometimes with family, sometimes with friends I meet along the way – and I have learned so much. At 23 years old I still have a lot to learn but I am a free spirit, and I do believe I am going to live forever in some shape or form, so I have all the time in the world!

My Lifetime Of Adventures

I am currently working in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, but I will embark on a new adventure soon (Afrika Burn, Spain, Portugal – here I come!) and I want to share all of my adventures with you.

I want to share with you the magic of an African sunset and how it makes me feel alive, and the priceless things I have learned without saying a word. I have also travelled out of Africa, but since I was born and raised on this continent, this is where my soul is truly at home, so most of my stories will involve some kind of African element. I look forward to sharing some of my heart with you – I choose to chase light and love, and want to encourage others to do the same.
